This presentation discusses the importance of including a justice-centered approach to computational thinking by creating digital tools for change with youth. Examples will be shared through Lee’s work at YR Media (formerly Youth Radio), a nationally recognized, youth-centered multimedia production company in Oakland, California. Products include a multimedia interactive map that explores gentrification in West Oakland and a social media re-enactment of Little Rock 9.
