Laboratory Safety and Safety Data Sheets
The Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OHSA) requires that chemical manufacturers, distributors or importers provide Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) (formerly MSDSs or Material Safety Data Sheets) to users for each chemical in order to communicate its hazards. To locate a SDS, you can use the following resources (or search a manufacturer's website, e.g. Fisher Scientific or MilliporeSigma).
Chemical Safety Research Portal
Hazardous Substances Data Bank (HSDB) - A ToxNet database from the U.S. National Library of Medicine which includes comprehensive, peer-reviewed toxicology data for about 5,000 chemicals.
Material Safety Data Sheets - From SFS Chemical Safety, Inc.
Pistoia Alliance Chemical Safety Library (CFL) is a searchable repository of crowdsourced chemical safety incident information. Search by CAS registry number, chemical name, and more.
