Below that, you'll be asked about content and contact preferences (where you can say "no" for any promotions via phone or email). The terms and conditions you'll then be accepting have been thoroughly reviewed by College Counsel.

After you have created this new account, you will receive an email to set any password you'd like. (NOTE: if you receive an error message or a blank screen, you were still likely successful in creating an account. Some users have reported this glitch, but as long as you receive an email to set your password, you have an account.)

From then on, you can just visit ft.com normally at any time from any device or can download the mobile app. When prompted to log in to view content, use your SMC email and the password you set for your ft.com account.

Connecting to Kanopy: Scroll down until you see a bright red button saying Login to STMARYS. Select that, and you'll be asked to do that one more time. You may then be asked to authenticate using your SMC login and password. You should then be connected! Kanopy is a leading distributor of tertiary educational videos. Titles available in this database are streaming. Major subjects covered include: The arts, business and training, health sciences, media and communication, natural sciences, social sciences, and teacher education.

SMC has Academic Pass with IP Range: This option covers the entire faculty, staff, and student population. Eligible users are authenticated by subscribing institution IP address ranges rather than by email domain. Users must first register and create a login with the NYT through this link. The stmarys-ca.edu email address is the preferred username. Upon activation, you will be able to enjoy NYTimes.com from wherever you are - on or off campus by using your personal login. iPhone, iPad and Android apps are accessible using your personal NYT login.  Articles from 1850+ are available, although 1923-1980 are limited to 5 per day per user.
