Popular collections of documentaries and independent and world cinema. Collections include "Directed by Women"; "Race, Ethnicity, & Identity"; and "Film Studies 101." Films include The Last Black Man in San Francisco, Moonlight, RBG, and The 400 Blows. Note: Starting January 1, 2025, Kanopy films will be approved for streaming upon request. Academic Video Online (Alexander Street) delivers more than 70,000 titles spanning subject areas including anthropology, business, counseling, film, health, history, and music. Content from BBC, CNN, PBS, Sony Picture Classics, Springer Nature, and more. Allows you to create clips, search a transcript, and embed in Canvas.

Films on Demand (Infobase) has more than 43,000 academic videos on subjects from anthropology to biology, education, music, and world languages. Collections include "the Best of Ken Burns," "Women's History Month," "Environmental Issues," "Great Documentaries," and "New Programs from PBS." You can add specific segments or films to a playlist for your students and even embed a quiz in a video.

LGBT Studies in Video (Alexander Street) is a cinematic survey of the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people as well as the cultural and political evolution of the LGBT community. This collection features award-winning documentaries, interviews, archival footage, and select feature films exploring LGBT history, gay culture and subcultures, civil rights, marriage equality, LGBT families, AIDS, transgender issues, religious perspectives on homosexuality, global comparative experiences, and other topics.
